Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the jam of copying paper by providing a contactor contacting rollers and a power feed means for supplying electric power to said contactor, allowing the contactor to contact the rollers, and applying prescribed voltage thereby destaticizing the same. CONSTITUTION:A transfer device 9 is constituted of a transfer roller 15, and a transfer belt 17 of ''Mylar '' or the like having insulating characteristic which is put on between plural pieces of guide rollers 16. This transfer belt 17 is allowed to contact with a part of the outside circumferential surface of said photoreceptor 4. Copying paper P is heated and press-fixed between the rollers 24, and the toner images are fixed to the copying paper P. Since the destaticizing brush of a destaticizer 26 is put in frictional contact with these rollers 24, and AC voltage is being applied thereto, the charge accumulating in the rollers 24 is destaticized. Hence, the stripping characteristic between the copying paper P and the roller 24 is improved and the jam of the copying paper P is prevented.
