Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a rust-inhibiting protecting agent which has corrosion resistance against wet heat and satd. vapor contg. a corrosive gas at 100W150°C, by a method wherein a fluorine-contg. resin-modified epoxy resin and an inorg. moistureproof agent are added to a composite composed of mica and a silicone resin.
CONSTITUTION: A fluorine-contg. resin-modified epoxy resin and/or a thermosetting resin and an inorg. moistureproof agent, are added to a composite high-molecular compd. composed of mica and a silicone resin. The resulting compsn. is coated on a surface to be coated with a coating amount of a thickness of 150W300μ, dried and then heat-treated with satd. vapor or dry heat at about 150°C, whereby the coating film is converted into a ceramic and thus a protective film is formed. The resulting coating has excellent heat, corrosion acid, alkali, and impact resistances, long-term stability, etc. The coating exhibits good adhesive properties due to preheating of the surface to be coated and is excellent as a corrosion-resistant rust-inhibiting protecting agent for wet heat.
