Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve response rectilinear characteristics, by fixing enzyme, which reacts an objective substrate to form H2O2, on hydrogen peroxide detecting electrode side of porous body membrane and also fixing catalase on the other side. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen peroxide detecting electrode 4 is prepared by coating platinum on surface of a negative glass by thermal decomposition process and providing electric connection by silver paste. Polycarbonate porous membrane is used as an enzyme fixing carrier membrane 2, a mixture solution of albumin-added catalase and ascorbic acid oxidase is applied onto one side of this membrane, it is made to react in vapor of glutaraldehyde for fixing of bridge and formation of a catalase fixing layer 1, and a glucose oxidase enzyme fixing layer 3 is formed on the surface on the other side. Glucose oxidase side of thus obtained enzyme fixing membrane is tightly fixed to the hydrogen peroxide detecting electrode 4. By doing so, H2O2 is decomposed to oxygen by the catalase layer, and therefore, rectilinear characteristic in high-density region can be improved.
