Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve rectilinear characteristic in high-density region, by providing on a hydrogen peroxide detecting electrode an oxidoreductase fixed layer, which forms H2O2 by selectively reacting an objective substance in a specimen solution, and a catalase fixed layer on this layer. CONSTITUTION:On a hydrogen peroxide detecting electrode 3 which is prepared by coating platinum on surface of a negative glass by thermal decomposition process and providing electric connection by silver paste, glucose oxidase solution is spread and it is made to react in vapor of gluter-aldehyde for fixing of bridge, and by doing so, a glucose oxidase fixing electrode 2 is obtained. Further, a bridge fixing layer 1 is formed by spreading on this fixing layer catalase solution in which small amount of albumin is added or a solution prepared by mixture of catalase and ascorbic acid oxidase. By doing so, H2O2 formed in the glucose oxidase layer is decomposed in the catalase fixing layer to form oxygen, and therefore, rectilinear characteristic in high-density region can be improved.
