Abstract
PURPOSE:To arrange position detecting elements of the linear motor at the position obtainable enough torque by a method wherein frame-shaped coils formed by winding in a frame-shape are provided on a mover and the position detecting elements and electric circuits are put in the inside cave parts of the frame-shaped coils. CONSTITUTION:At the center part of one side face 2a of an iron plate 2 of the mover 1, the rectangular frame-shaped coils 3 formed by winding the coils in the rectangular frame-shape are fixed in a line at about equal intervals, and the position detecting elements 4 and the necessitated coils 5 are put in the inside cave parts 3a of the rectangular frame-shaped coils 3. Terminals 6 of the rectangular frame- shaped coils 3 are connected to conductors for current feeding provided to rails 7, 8. When the breadth of magnetic pole of magnets 11 to be provided at the stator side is designated as T, and the breadth of the rectangular frame-shaped coils as Tx(2n-1) (n=2, 3...n), the position of the position detecting elements 4 are settled at the places distant by the interval T from the side lines of the coils.
