Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize an emphasized contour in the sub-scanning direction without a video signal delaying circuit of 1 line portion, by utilizing a time required for moving an image in the distance of three photodetecting cells. CONSTITUTION:M and L show the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction, respectively. T1, T2, T3; S1, S2 and P1, P2, P3 show the photodetecting part shift gates, the stop gates and the transfer part shift gates, respectively, and the charge which has been stored in the photodetecting part 8 is shifted to the transfer part by these three kinds of gates. phi1, phi2, phi3 are transfer clocks, and transfer in the lateral direction the charge which has been shifted. When a time required for moving an image in the distance l of three photodetecting cells is made to be equal to a time of the main scanning 1 period, a delay time of 1 line portion is obtained from a difference of the optical read position in mechanical sub-scanning.
