Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an automatic wheel and axle dropping testing device that facilitate the dropping position adjustment of the wheel ans axle to be tested by equipping a car truck with an automatic dropping device through three front-back, right-left and up-down movable heads.
CONSTITUTION: Test wheel and axle 11 of this device having moved to a test location is put down on a track by lowering the 2nd head 6 by putting the 1st and 3rd heads 3 and 7 into operation for front-back and right-left position adjustments. Next, claw 21 of clamping device C and working claw 12 of dropping device B are opened and car truck A is lifted at a level by four outriggers 25. Then, working claw 12 is lowered and closed and lifting magnet 15 is excited to elevate test wheel and axle 11 to a fixed height by hydraulic cylinder 5. Next, the electric power source of lifting magnet 15 is turned off to drop test wheel and axle 11. Thus, the automatic wheel and axle dropping testing device that facilitates the adjustment of its dropping position can be obtained.
