Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the time of concentricity measurement and also to improve its precision by measuring the thickness of the outer circumference of a pore by inserting a rod thinner than the inner diameter into the pore, by pressing a ferrule against the rod by a micrometer method and then by turning the ferrule.
CONSTITUTION: The lower end of ferrule 1 is supported by spindle 5 provided on stand 4 and its upper end is also supported by inserting the tip of thinner rod 3 into pore 2. Probe 61 of electric micrometer 6 as a micrometer method is pushed to the outer circumference of ferrule 1 that corresponds to pore 2. To ferrule 1, thin indexing disk 8 provided previously with holes 81 at positions obtained by equally dividing its ciricumference by an integer is fixed; and at one side, light emission diode 9 is provided and at the other side, photodiode 10 is also provided, so that signal 11 will be output when hole 81 reaches their positions. In this state, ferrule 1 is turned to measure the thickness of the outer circumference of pore 2, thereby obtaining the concentricity. Thus, the measurement time is shortened and its precision can be improved.
