Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible welding of high productivity and stable quality even with welding of pipe ends and end plates etc. of structures which cannot be easily rotated by rotating the rays of high energy density such as laser light with the specific constitution. CONSTITUTION:A laser light generator is triggered and laser light R is so adjusted as to condense at the portion to be welded (the weld zone of a pipe 24 and an end plate 25) by moving a moving cylinder 18 in its axial direction. The laser light R is suitably selected and in the case of metal materials, CO2 gas laser is used. Next, when the condensing part 12 is rotated by a motor 21, the laser light R is projected to the portion to be welded in the route of reflecting mirrors 16 17 condensing lens 19, and as the condensing part 12 rotates, the laser light is also projected in the form of a ring. This enables the pipe 24 and the end plate 25 to be welded into a ring shape. Upon ending of the specified welding, the condensing part 12 is moved together with a laser light transmission device terminal part 11 or alone to the next welding place.
