Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an invariably excellent head touch by fitting a magnetic head to piezoelectric elements which can be displaced at right angle to a rotating shaft core and by controlling a voltage applied to the piezoelectric element by detecting the tip position of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:To insulating member 2 fitted to rotary drum 1, one terminal of bimorph 3 consisting of two piezoelectric elements 3a and 3b is fitted; at its free terminal side, magnetic head 8 is fitted through head base 9 and its tip part 8a is projected from window part 10 of drum 1. The extent of the projection is detected by the light emitting means consisting of a photodetector, such as a photransistor, and a lamp, etc., providd facing to each other across drum 1 and on the basis of its output, a voltage applied to bimorph 3 is controlled. Therefore, the extent of the projection of magnetic head 8 can be held invariably constant by moving bimorph 3, so that an excellent head touch is obtained.
