Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve the control of sheet crown being excellent in the responsiveness, by operating the difference between the aim set point of the run-out side sheet crown and the measured value, and by controlling the injection pattern of the hot rolling mill's feed side cooling nozzle in the direction of sheet breadth, correspondingly to above operated difference.
CONSTITUTION: The hot rolling mill for the rolled material 1 is constituted of a couple of work roll 2, a couple of backup roll 3, the crown meter 4 for measuring the run-out side sheet crown, the arithmetic unit 5, the cooling nozzle controller 6, the cooling units 7a, 7b, respectively installed above and below the rolled material 1, and the setter 8 for setting the aim point of the run- out side sheet crown. Hereupon, the crown meter 4 detects the sheet crown at several points along the sheet breadth and produces the signal; on the other hand, the aim sheet crown at the points along the sheet breadth respectively corresponding to above detecting points of the meter 4 is set in the setter 8; these signals of the meter 4 and the setter 8 are separately inputted to the arithmetic unit 5. The arithmetic unit 5 operates the difference between above stated aim value and the measured value; and correspondingly to the pattern of this difference, the unit 5 determines either to put ON or OFF the previously specified nozzle arranged along the sheet breadth; this on-off signal is inputted to the cooling nozzle controller 6 which then puts on or off the valve according to this input signal.
