Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve working efficiency and to obtain uniform welding results, by cutting the electric current and completing the crater treatment when a set slope time has passed and the electric current is reduced to the current value set for the time of slope completion.
CONSTITUTION: Starting switch 12 is turned ON, starting signal generating circuit 13 is operated, and the signal whose logical value is "1" is sent to trigger circuit 19 through hold circuit 18. A signal is delivered from trigger circuit 19 to ignition controlling circuit 10, thyristor 9 is ignited, and welding is started. When the welding is completed, starting switch 12 is again turned ON, slope voltage generating circuit 5 is operated by means of the signal from memory circuit 16, and reference voltage e0 is reduced at the slope. Simultaneously with the slope completion, the output of trigger circuit 19 is turned OFF by means of the signal whose logical value is "0", of slope completion detecting circuit 17, and the power supply to the welding load is automatically stopped. Therefore, starting switch 2 is turned OFF after the welding arc disappears.
