Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a low amount of power consumption for the cathode-ray tube driving circuit which applies the clamping at the black level, by flowing the current to the clamping voltage deciding variable resistance only when the clamping circuit is operating. CONSTITUTION:Video signal 15 is amplified to be transmitted to the cathode of color cathode-ray tube CRT1. Clamping transistor 10 conducts by clamping pulse 12 which is caused in the flyback time of the video signal. And the cathode voltage of CRT1 is fixed by clamping voltage deciding variable resistor 11. Then the clamping voltage to be decided is set equal substantially to the cut-off voltage of CRT1. As a result, the variance of the cut-off voltage can be corrected. During the scanning period of the video signal both transistor 10 and clamping diode 16 are turned off. Thus the clamping circuit connected to the cathode terminal of CRT1 can be ignored for the cathode voltage of CRT1. Then the current is flowed to clamping voltage deciding variable resistor 11 only when the clamping circuit is operating in order to realize a low amount of power consumption.
