Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the thickness of a photoreceptor and decrease its weight by grasping the photoreceptor with a pair of flanges and making at least one of these flanges displaceable in the thrust direction thereby supporting the photoreceptor in freely attachably and detachably. CONSTITUTION:A pair of flanges 26, 32 which are pivotally supported freely rotatably to the body 1 of a copying machine, and a thin-walled cylindrical photoreceptor 4 grasped by being interposed between these flanges 25 and 32 are provided. At least one flange 32 out of the flanges 26, 32 is made displaceable in the thrust direction, so that the photoreceptor 4 is supported freely detachably. Even if the photoreceptor 4 is thin in wall thickness, its tapered parts 26, 26b are fitted and grasped by the tapered parts 26b, 32b provided to the flanges 26, 32, and are thus held correctly cylindrically and concentrically. If the operator holds the knob 28 provided to the flange 32 and pulls it in the direction of an arrow, the photoreceptor 4 is spaced from the flange 32 and is easily exchanged.
