Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause oil discharge proportional to the load upon an engine, by transmitting the reciprocation of a dipharagm actuated by the pulsating pressure of intake and exhaust, to an oil pump shaft through a transmission mechanism which changes the reciprocation into unidirectional rotation.
CONSTITUTION: An oil pump 30 is connected through an oil inlet port 45 to the bottom of an oil tank 21 defined at the lower part of a fuel tank 20. The positive pulsating pressure of a crank chamber 5A is conducted to the diaphragm chamber of the oil pump 30 through a pipe 58. The reciprocation travel of the pump 30 is nearly proportional to the load upon an engine. The reciprocation of a diaphragm is changed into unidirectional rotation through a lever and a one-way clutch. The rotation is transmitted to the shaft of the oil pump 30. As a result, a quantity of oil almost proportional to the load upon the engine is discharged to an intake manifold 12 through pipes 47, 48.
