Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply the power for wireless transmitter semipermanently, by providing the light ray detection element between solar cells and secondary battery, which is at low impedance at the irradiation of external light and at high impedance at nonirradiation. CONSTITUTION:The solar cell is constituted with the silicon semiconductor element 1 generating electromotive voltage through the reception of solar rays 8, and the series circuit of resistance 11 and photodetector 12 is connected in parallel to the cell, and the photodetector 12 shows low impedance at photodetection and high impedance at nonreception. At daylight, the electromotive voltage of the solar cell 1 turns on the transistor 13 with the forward bias by the resistance 11 because of low impedance of the transistor 13 to flow the charging current to the secondary battery 2, and at night, the transistor 13 is off since the impedance of the detector 12 is high, and no discharge current in reverse direction from the secondary battery 2 to the solar cell 1 flows. Thus, since the secondary battery keeps to be charged with the sun, the power can be kept supplied to the transmission circuit semipermanently and the signal is transmitted from the antenna 6.
