PURPOSE:To analyze with respect to frequency a vibration signal with high accuracy and also at a high speed, by automatically controlling a sampling period of the vibration signal so that a rotary frequency component, its fractional harmonic component and a higher harmonic component can be analyzed with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The timing control circuit 22 generates a rotary pulse signal 106 through the rotary pulse gear 13 of the rotary machine end part, the electromagnetic pickup 23 and the waveform shaping circuit 24. On the other hand, the number of counts N of the counter 27 is set by the sample number setting device 32 and the sample number register 26, and also the number of counts M of the counter 29 is set by the number of analystic waves 31 and the analystic wave number setting register 30. A rotary pulse signal 106, and a frequency dividing signal 110 of an output of the counter 27 outputs a PLL transmission signal 109 through the PLL circuit 26, and generate a sampling timing setting signal 113 through the counter 29. According to such a constitution, the sampling synchronization can be controlled automatically, and a vibration signal of the rotary machine can be analyzed with respect to frequency with high accuracy and also at a high speed. Accordingly, it is possible to analyze and monitor an axial vibration.
