Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a bright image all over the pickup range of image fibers with high utilization efficiency of optical energy by spot-irradiating part of the pickup range with light and scanning the light. CONSTITUTION:Bundled fibers 2 for transmitting illumination light are set in parallel with image fibers 1 for transmitting an image for wide-angle pickup. Wires 4 are led to the rear end of fibers 2 through guide holes 5 of flanges 3. When observation is carried out in the dark, part of pickup range (a) of image fibers 1 is spot-irradiated with light from bundled fibers 2. since the light is centered on the part to perform spot irradiation, the image of the part is made bright. In order to observe other part of pickup range (a), by pulling wire 4 the direction of the tip of bundled fibers 2 is changed to shift the position of spot irradiation.
