Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a core material of very high resistance to impact, by blending raw material powder to make a permalloy composition as a whole, molding the blended powder under pressure, sintering the molded powder and forging the sintered piece. CONSTITUTION:60-90wt% of Ni powder and 5-20wt% of Fe are used as basic constituents. At least one of Mo, Cu, Cr and the like is added as a reforming constituent to the basic constituents if necessary. For example, a 78-permalloy composition is made. The raw material powder is mixed well. The mixed powder is molded under pressue. The molded powder is sintered at about 900-1,430 deg.C under vacuum of 10<-2> Torr or less or under inert or reducing gas (-20 deg.C or less in dew point) for 1-20hr. The sintered piece is hot-forged or cold-forged into a desired shape at 800-1,200 deg.C. The forged piece is cut and ground, thereby providing a final product. According to this method, a magnet core material of very high resistance to impact is produced.
