Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain Fe-Co alloy plating which is suitable as a material having magnetic characteristics required by delay elements etc. in particular, by using a plating bath consisting of a plating bath such as chloride bath, sulfuric acid bath or the like added with borofluoride of iron or Co in performing plating.
CONSTITUTION: A plating bath consisting of any of chloride bath, sulfuric acid bath, sulfamic acid bath or their mixed baths added with borofluoride (e.g.; cobalt borofluoride, ferrous borofluoride) is used and the Fe-Co alloy consisting of 7.5W 55% Fe and 92.5W45% Co is plated on a base body. By the use of this plating bath, the plating temp. is made relatively low temp. below 50°C, and consequently, the Fe-Co alloy plating of small electrodeposition strain is obtained. Hence, the thick plating of ≥0.1mm is executed without causing cracking; at the same time, there are caused no formation and settling of iron hydroxide and the Fe-Co alloy plating of stable alloy composition is obtained.
