Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate conventional undercoating process by directly painting MIO paint contg. a specific org. metal corrosion-preventive material on a metal base in applying corrosion-preventive painting on the metal surface.
CONSTITUTION: In making heavy corrosion-preventive painting on a metallic material, the phenolic type micaceous iron oxide (MIO) paint added with 0.7W1.3wt% dithiol-S-triazine derivat. as an org. rust-preventive agent under uniform stirring is painted on the surface of a metal base 1 in such a manner that the paint film thickness is made 50W80μm, whereby a paint film 6 is formed. A paint film 4 of top coating paint is coated thereon. Since the MIO paint which has hitherto been used as second painting paint is used as under painting paint, the painting steps are reduced and the need for the undercoat paint which has hitherto been used is eliminated.
