Abstract
PURPOSE: To regenerate lubricating oil used particularly for internal combustion engines highly accurately and efficiently by filtering the same successively through the 1st filter element of which finely rugged surfaces are abutting each other and tne 2nd filter elements made by compression forming of cellulose or synthetic fibers.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid to be filtered in a tank 1 is flowed into a filter device 5 for the 1st process by a pump unit 4, and is passed through between the abutting surfaces 13a of respective filter members 13 constituting a filter element 14. The impurities mixed with the liquid are filtered by this, and at the same time, the liquid is homogenized. Thence, the liquid to be filtered is flowed into a filter device 26 for the 2nd process, where it is filtered by passing through a filter element 36, whereby it is regenerated. This liquid is recovered into a tank 32.
