Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the roll surface from being hurted by the rolled material, and to prevent the bending of the rolled material, in the case of feeding the material to be rolled into the gap of rolling rolls, by attaching the stopper to the forcibly guiding inlet feeder on the rolling roll side in order to stop the material to be rolled at a fixed position.

CONSTITUTION: The stopper head 10, for stopping the material 21 to be rolled, is installed on the rolling roll side of the forcibly guiding inlet feeder installed in front of the rolling rolls 1, 2. The material 21 is strongly clamped by upper and lower wooden blocks 4, 5 of the feeder and is pushed into the gap of upper and lower rolls 1, 2. The upper wooden block 4 is fixed to the upper frame 6 which is suspended by the clamping head 8 vertically movable by the hydraulic cylinder 9. The material 21 is carried in, hits the stopper head 10, and stops therein; after which, the hydraulic cylinder 9 is moved down so as to make upper and lower wooden blocks 4, 5 clamp the material 21. The hydraulic cylinder 20 is actuated to bring down the stopper head 10, and to send forward the feeder so as to feed the material 21 into the gap of upper and lower rolling rolls 1, 2.
