Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the obstruction of the flow of resin due to the deformation of the internal surface of a mold by a method wherein a space communicated with a cavity is provided at the periphery of the cavity of the mold to effect the sucking of air in the cavity and the filling of resin into the cavity.
CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing fiber 21 is put between the female and male matched molds 11, 12 and the liquid resin 28 is poured into there to mold the FRP molded form. In this case, at least one of the female and male matched molds 11, 12 is formed so as to be a double wall construction having the space 13 at the periphery of the cavity 14, and this space 13 and the cavity 14 are constituted so that both of them are communicated with each other and an air pressure in both of them becomes the same, thus, the sucking of air in the cavity 14 and the pouring of the liquid resin 28 into the cavity are effected. According to this method, in spite of the low stiffness construction of the molds, the internal surface 11a of the mold will not be deformed even in case the internal pressure of the cavity 14 is lowered and the obstruction for the flow of the liquid resin 28 in the cavity 14 may be prevented.
