Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Tea leaves are charged from inlet 10 into the first vessel, stirred with the stirrer 16 and steamed by irradiation of high-frequency waves from the electronic antenna. Then, the bottom lids 18 and 20 of the first vessel and the top lid 24 are opened to shift the tea leaves into the second vessel. The tea leaves are stirred with the stirrer 32 and blown with cooling air from duct 40 to effect simultaneous drying and crude rolling. At the same time, the tea leaves are irradiated with ultraviolet rays from the lamp 28. After a certain time, the bottom lid 34 is opened to exclude the tea leaves on the conveyor 38.
