Abstract
PURPOSE:To prepare uniformly dried synthetic resin pelltes having high quality, economically, using a simple and easy procedure, comprising charging undried resin pellets in a drying tower through the top thereof, while introducing inert gas intermittently to the tower through the bottom. CONSTITUTION:(Dehydrated) undried synthetic resin pellets is charged into a drying tower 2 through an inlet piping 1, and dried pellets are discharged from the bottom of the tower through an outlet piping 3. Drying gas 4 is heated by a heat exchanger 6 and introduced to the bottom of the tower 2 through a blower 7 and an electromagnetic valve 8. The ascending gas is counter-currently contacted with the pellets descending in the tower 2, and exhausted from the top of the tower 2 through the gas-outlet 5. The flow of the gas is intermittently interrupted or restricted by the valve 8 actuated by the signal from a sequence controller 9.
