Abstract

PURPOSE: The hot-air dryer is provided with ultraviolet and infrared ray generators to effect the drying of laver sheets under conditions near sun-light drying.
CONSTITUTION: Laver sheets made on the endless belt 6 are dehydrated at the part A and sent into the drying part B. The endless belt 6 is guided by spurockets 2 to pass through the dryer and the dried laver sheets 3 are peeled off with peeling rollers 4. In the dryer, infrared lamps 5 and ultraviolet lamps 5' are set and hot air is sent through paths 8 to effect drying. The dryer is divided into several zones where temperature and humidity are set and controlled respectively to effect drying under constant conditions. The emission of infrared and ultraviolet rays also is controlled to keep the optimal conditions for drying.
