Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the formation of oxide layer difficult and to sharply improve the iron loss, by treating the surface after the last process and making the surface roughness at a specified value or less, on occasion of manufacturing the nonanisotropic electromagnetic steel plate from steel slab containing <=3.5% Si, and as occasion demands, containing Mn, Al, etc. CONSTITUTION:Steel slab having the above-mentioned composition, is hot-rolled by heating at 1,100-1,300 deg.C and 1.5-2.2mm. thickness slab is made. The last thickness is obtained by one cold rolling or two rollings including <=1,100 deg.C intermediate annealing after pickling. The last annealing of this steel plate is carried out also in order to obtain a magnetic characteristic and next, surface treatment is carried out. Methods, such as electrolytic polishing, chemical polishing, are used and chromium anhydride solution dissolved in phosphoric acid solution in supersaturated state, is used for former method and also, mixed solution mixed 5-10% hydrogen fluoride aqueous solution with hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution or mixed hydrogen peroxide aqueous solution with phosphoric acid in equivalent quantity, is used for the latter method. <=0.4 microns roughness is formed on the surface of the steel plate.
