Abstract
PURPOSE:To display the deterioration degree of lubricating oil and its change time by finding the mean value of the temperature of the lubricating oil in a constant time, by calculating the degree of deterioration according to the deterioration curve of the oil temperature of the lubricating oil to the time, and by integrating it. CONSTITUTION:Temperature sensor 1, provided to an engine, detects the temperature of engine oil and outputs temperature signal Vt. Then, Vt is amplified by amplifier 2 and then applied to an A-D converter via low-pass filter 3 to obtain output Dt. The sampling period is set to (T2-T1)/n, and mean-value circuit 5 sums up (n) input signals Dt to calculate their mean value and outputs Dtheta as the representative temperature value in time (T2-T1). On the basis of the known deterioration curve, arithmetic circuit 6 calculates a deterioration time from obtained representative value temperature (theta) and outputs signal Dh. Arithmetic circuit 7 finds reciprocal U of the deterioration degree, i.e. dterioration time and arithmetic circuit 8 integrates U in sequence, so that the time when the sum reaches one is regarded as the time of an oil change.
