Abstract
PURPOSE:To uniformalize the grain size distribution of charging materials in the radial direction of a furnace body and improve gas flow and reaction conditions by classifying the same raw materials to plural aggregations corresponding to grain sizes by the use of plural sieves of different sieve openings and charging the different aggregations of the same raw material separately one after another into the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:There are the final ends of belt conveyors 15 which convey sintered ore 10 above raw material tanks 11, 12, and vibration sieves 13, 14 are provided in two stages between the tanks 11 and 12. The sieve openings of the sieve 13 in the upper stage are set at, for example, 40mm., and those of the sieve 14 in the lower stage at 5mm.. The conveyed sintered ore 10 is first classified with the sieve 13 and the sintered ore 10 of plus sieve is stored into the tank 12 and the sintered ore 10 of plus sieve of the sieve 14 into the tank 11. The sintered ore 10 of minus sieve of the sieve 14 is returned to the upper process. Hence, the 5-40mm. sintered ore is stored in the tank 11 and the 40-100mm. sintered ore in the tank 12.
