Abstract

PURPOSE:To approximate an AC circuit of a power supply device to a sine wave so that an electric motor may easily be driven by exciting a field coil of an AC generator with the assistance of a sine wave power supply which generates a lower frequency than an output frequency of the said coil. CONSTITUTION:An armature coil 101 of an AC generator for vehicle 1 is composed of a group of thyristers and is connected to a load 5 through the intermediary of the first and second rectification devices 2, 3 connected in parallel to assume a reverse polarity to each other. In addition, a sine wave power supply 11 which generates an output of lower frequency than a frequency for the generator 1 is provided and its output excites a field coil 102 through a voltage adjustment device 12. The said output also drives a gate switching signal generation device 14 through a rectification/ smoothing device 13 to control each thyrister for the rectification devices 2, 3. Consequently, it is possible to make an output wave form a wave form close to a sine wave including a ripple from the generator 1 and facilitate the driving of a load such as a single-phase induction generator, etc.
