Abstract
PURPOSE:To broaden control range of a control sensitivity as well as to make compacter a transformer, by winding a magnetic core having a nonlinear region with a first and a second coil, forming a resonance circuit for the second circuit and setting the frequency of the resonance circuit a little higher than the working frequency of the transformer. CONSTITUTION:Voltage of the AC power source 1 is rectified by a fullwave rectifier 2. The rectified output is applied to a primary coil N1 of a transformer 10 through a choke coil 4, and the output of a secondary coil N2 is rectified by a fullwave rectifier 21 and fed to a load 23. A nonlinear region is formed to a magnetic core of the transformer 10 of this power source unit, and this magnetic core is wound with a control coil NC beside the primary and secondary coils N1, N2. And a capactor 20 for parallel resonance is connected to the secondary coil N2, and the resonance frequency by the secondary coil N2 and the capacitor 20 is to be set a little higher than the working frequency of the transformer 10. By controlling the coil NC, a control range can be broadened with lesser ripples and the maximum capacity of the transformer 10 for the load can be improved.
