Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform the titled automatic welding by making a welding torch follow up a weld line, by detecting the weld ling by a profile sensor while pressing a corrugated radiation plate and edge plate with a hose having internal pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Straight-line part 34 of profile sensor 32 is matched to the edge of corrugated radiation plate 1 to determine a weld line, and welding torch 26 fixed to arm 24 is adjusted to this weld line. In this state, welder 38 is operated to supply an electric current to torch 26, and truck 10 is run to perform welding. If the weld line moves up and down during the welding, controller 20 is informed of the shift through cord 42 and vertical slider 18 is operated to make the torch follow up the shift. In case of a vertical shift, vertical slider 16 is operated. Since radiation plate 1 is depressed by hose 44, the entire torsion and curvature of radiation plate 1 are corrected and plate is welded to edge plate 4 in the close contacted state.
