Abstract
PURPOSE: To make conpression fracturing possible at a normal temperature and to improve hygroscropicity and water permeability by a method wherein ethylene polymer in which foaming agent and bridging agent are mixed is heated under a special condition and the independent foam body generated is subjected to compression fracturing.
CONSTITUTION: The compound in which foaming agent and bridging agent are mixed with ethylene polymer or copolymer is heated for a given time to produce the 1st bridged intermediate product in which the decomposition rate of the foaming agent is below 30%. This 1st intermediate product is heated at a temperature higher than the said heating temperature and the residual foaming and bridging agents are decomposed to produce the 2nd intermediate product with independent foams. Then, the 2nd intermediate product is compressed to break independent foams and to produce a continuous foam body. Azodicarbon amide etc. are used as the foaming agent and dicumaric peroxide etc. are used as the bridging agent. The foaming magnification of the 2nd intermediate product is preferred to be approximately 3W 25.
