Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform an adding treatment of sulfur easily and effectively by providing a photoconductive layer applied with a mixed and dispersed solution of a binder resin solution containing a simple substance of sulfur and sulfide type photoconductive pulverulent bodies. CONSTITUTION:To a solution obtained by solving a 0.05-0.8pts.wt. single body of sulfur and 0.5-50pts.wt. binder resin (e.g. acryl resin, fluorine rubber, etc.) in a solvent of CS2, benzene, etc., 100pts.wt. sulfide type photoconductive powder (e.g. CdS, Cds-CdSe solid solution, etc.) is added and dispersed sufficiently to obtain a coating material. On a conductive base, the said coating material is applied to a thickness of 5-100mum and then dried to form a photoconductive layer. Thus, the adding treatment of sulfur can effectively be carried out and the electrophotographic photoreceptor can be obtained which has the superior property of forming stable pictures and superior speed characteristics of light attenuation.
