Abstract

PURPOSE: To omit baking at high temperatures, and nevertheless to keep antitackiness and film strength similar to or more than those of usual fluoropolymers, by coating core particle surfaces with a material containing fluoropolymer capable of crosslinking.
CONSTITUTION: A fluoroepoxy resin such as formula I or a fluoropolyurethane such as formula II is dissolved in a proper solvent mixture, and enamel characteristics are adjusted by adding inorganic and/or organic pigments or the like, if needed. Such coating materials are spray coated on core particle surfaces. This alleviates toner accumulation of a latent image bearing surface and the carrier particle surfaces, stabilizes particle characteristics and triboelectricity even in wide temperature and humidity ranges, maintains stable image quality even in repeated uses, and further, extends useful life.
