Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a level meter which provides analog display by providing two input terminals to one electrode of a liquid-display body and by applying a driving signal to those electrodes. CONSTITUTION:On internal surfaces of upper panel glass 6 and lower panel glass 7, upper and lower electrodes 8 and 9 made of transparent conductors are provided and between both the electrodes, liquid crystal 10 is sealed. Then, the electric resistance value of upper electrode 8 is set relatively high, and that of lower electrode 9 relatively low. Further, right end 8a of the upper electrode and lower electrode 9 are connected together and a driving signal is applied between right end 8a of the upper electrode and left end 8b. Consequently, bar-graph display proportional to the magnitude of a signal is enabled since the length of a display-state part is proportional to the voltage of the driving signal. Thus, a level meter providing the analog display can be formed easily.
