Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an ejector type cooling tower, which is enabled to exert sufficient cooling performance even if the amount of circulating water is smaller than a standard amount, by providing a water tank in parallel with another water tank of a cooling tower in the manner that water can overflow from one tank to the other, providing a load adjusting circuit between the two water tanks, and also providing a constant-flow circuit between the second water tank and nozzles.
CONSTITUTION: In case that the amount of water circulated from a pump 6 to a load 7 is smaller than that ejected from nozzles 3 into a water tank 2, superfluous water is overflowed from the tank 2 to a second water tank 9. Water in the second tank 9 is supplied, as a constant flow of circulating water, to nozzles 3 via a feed water pipe 10 and a pump 11 and ejected from the nozzles 3 into a cooling tower 1. With such an arrangement, the amount of water ejected from nozzles 3 can be always kept constant if the amount of circulating water is changed depending on the load. Therefore, the cooling tower is enabled to exert sufficient cooling performance.
