Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover virtually pure CO gas by separating CO2 gas in waste gas from a bottom-blowing refining furnace to recover CO and utilizing separated CO2 gas as sealing gas and gas supplied from a bottom of a refining furnace. CONSTITUTION:For example, in a converter 21 using top and bottom blowings together, refining oxygen gas 24 is blown ito molten steel 25 from a top-blowing lance 22 and from a center tube 23 is a double tube provided at a furnace bottom and CO2 gas 27 for cooling is blown from an outer tube 26 in the double tube to perform refining. Waste gas 28 generated is recovered together with an explosion- proof CO2 gas 36 for sealing a void part of a skirt part of an waste gas recovery device 29 and an gas port of a converter 21, and then CO2 gas separated by a CO2 gas separating process 37 is used circulatively as CO2 gas 36, 27, the remaining part 38 stored in a holder. On the other hand, a virtually pure CO gas recovered by the separating process 37 is consumed by combustion equipment 41 and other facility 42 using CO gas through a storage tank 39 and a blower 40.
