Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printing with an effective correction of printing strain through a correction of strain due to air resistance by the preceding charged ink droplet and that due to coulomb's force by the preceding and subsequent charged ink droplet. CONSTITUTION:The number of stages of charging ink droplets is set at M at its maximum, the order to charging ink drops with an electrode 5 is divided into lines of M/N (N is a natural number >=3 and 8 in the drawing). They are charged skipped by M/N. When charging is made on the line i+1 following the line (i), it is done at an intermediate level with the charging level for line (i). When charging is made at a stage (n) of the line (i), it is determined whether there are ink droplets or not on the line iX1 close to those at the stage (n) of the line (i), and the strain due to the air resistance by the ink droplets on the line iX1 is added to the ink droplets at the stage (n) of the line (i) to correct.
