Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a drying process after regeneration as well as to enhance adsorbing property by forming a high molecular porous coating having a siloxane bond on a contact surface of a treating gas of the adsorbing element having plural gas passages.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet like material 1 is formed into a sheet material by using an one sided corrugated board molding machine and, thereafter, an adhesive is adhered to top surfaces of the corrugation and the adhesive applied sheet material is wound up to constitute the adsorbing element 3 having plural gas passages. The resulting adsorbing element 3 is impregnated with an aqueous alkali silicate solution or a silicic acid colloid solution in an impregnation ratio of about 2.5W50wt% and, thereafter, heat treatment is applied to form a polysiloxane type water repellent porous coating on a surface of said adsorbing element 3. Heat treatment temp. after the above described impregnation is pref. 50°C or more and, more pref., 100W250°C. A treating gas G is flowed into from one opening part of the adsorbing element 3 to adsorb a solvent or the like in said gas.
