Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the wear at the bearing part of an impeller, by using a ferromagnetic materials of the same polarity for both the rotary shaft of the impeller and the holding member to support the shaft and distributing them opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:The holding members 8 and 12 having the hole parts 9 and 13 respectively are attached at the supporting frames 7 and 11 provided to a flow meter 1 into which the fluid flows through the flow-in port 2, and both tips 10 and 14 of the rotary shaft 5 of the impeller 3 are fitted into the parts 9 and 12, respectively. Then the tip 10 of the shaft 5 made of a ferromagnetic material covered with an anticorrosive material and the inner surface 9 of the hole part of the member 8 are magnetized in the S pole; while the tip 14 of the shaft 5 and the inner surface 13 of the hole part of the member 12 are magnetized in the N pole respectively. As a result the shaft 5 receives the repulsion to float up and thus receive no friction caused by the rotation. Furthermore a rotation is secured for both the tip 14 and the hole part 13 with no mutual contact although the impeller 3 is pushed right by an increment of the fluid volume since the repulsion caused by the magnetic force is adversely proportional to the length of the gap 20.
