Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure an automatic setting of the reproducing condition in regard of the travelling of tape, by recording previously the information regarding the reproducing condition at a start of recording onto a recording medium and then reading the contents of the information during a reproduction. CONSTITUTION:The frequency property change-over switch 7 of the recording amplifier 6, the bias change-over switch 9 of the bias circuit 8 and the noise reduction setting switch 15 are set manually during a recording and in accordance with the using cassette tape. Thus the reproducing condition is decided in a single meaning way. Accordingly the above-mentioned switches are set when a recording is started, and the reproducing condition control information is sent to the control circuit 1 to record the control information of the reproducing condition onto a tape. During a reproducing, the control circuit 1 always monitors the reproduced signal supplied from the reproducing amplifier 3, and the frequency property change-over switch 4 plus the noise reduction switches 12a and 12b are switched in accordance with a detection of the data containing the recorded reproducing condition.
