Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of a damper by forming an inertial mass body of a viscous rubber damper which damps the torsion vibration of a rotary shaft of an internal combustion engine or the like into a pair of divided pieces and fitting thereto an annular clamping belt to bond respective devided pieces. CONSTITUTION:Annular rubber bodies 22 and 22 are primarily bonded by vulcanization to both side surfaces of a mounting plate 21, and further divided pieces 20A and 20B of the inertial mass bodies are arranged on both sides of the rubber bodies 22 and 22 in a facing manner, and secondarily bonded to respective rubber bodies 22 and 22. Respective divided pieces 20A and 20B are mutually drawn near and brought into abutment with each other. A clamping belt 23 is fitted in the outer peripheries of the divided pieces 20A and 20B in this state, and both side edges of the clamping belt 23 are caulked in the inner peripheral side to bond the divided pieces 20A and 20B thereto. The enclosed recessed part 25 is filled with a viscous fluid such as silicone oil or the like.
