Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize deformation of machining face of a work even when a working electrode is slightly worn, by making a slant face on the electrode. CONSTITUTION:A slant face 5A with an angle of inclination equal to that of an inclined machining face 8 is made on the tip of a working electrode, so that deformation of the machining face 8 can be minimized so long as the said slant face 5A remains unworn at the tip even when part of the electrode is worn out 6. This is also true for a case where a work is moved at the time of machining. The type of the inclined working face, straight or curved, makes no difference. The slant face 5A may be made to any side in accordance with the machining conditions, though it is found on every side of a working electrode shown in the figure. Deformation of the machining face can accordingly be minimized, even when the working electrode is minutely worn.
