Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily recover uranium from a dilute soln. by allowing the uranium- contg. soln. to contact with a resin of the structure in which amide oxime groups are bound with the monofunctional compound of the skeleton constituting a specific crosslinked copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: The crosslinked copolymer of a polyfunctional compound such as poly(meth)acrylate of polyalkylene polyol of 2W4C alkylene groups and a monofunctional compound is prepd. This polymer and hydroxylamine or the like are reacted, whereby the resin of the structure in which amide oxime groups are bound with the monofunctional compound part of the skeleton is formed. This resin is used in the form of spherical particles or the like and is contacted with a dilute soln. contg. uranium in a continuous flow system or the like, whereby it is adsorbed with uranium. By the use of such resin, uranium is recovered at a high rate of adsorption from sea water or the like.
