Abstract
PURPOSE:To intend the amendment of a workability and a quality stability by impregnating an alkaline solution at close on the surface of a high density forming body having Ag2O as a main body and then forming an Ag2O layer on the surface thereof by heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:An anode 2 inserted into the bottom of an anode case 1 is formed by the following method. AgO particles, for instance, having 1-5mu in particle size is formed by compression under a high pressure to prepare a disc electrode 2. Then, said anode 2 is impregnated into an alkaline solution and said alkaline solution is impregnated on the surface thereof. Further, said anode 2 is subjected to a heat treatment for 15min, for instance, in a dryer at 100 deg.C leaving the alkaline solution as it is impregnated. Thus, the surface of the anode 2 is changed and the Ag2O layer 8 is formed. By this construction, a battery having a simple preparing method, low cost and stable quality can be obtained.
