Abstract
PURPOSE:To intend the increase of a heavy load discharge performance by controlling an amount of electrolyte in an active substance having a silver oxide as a main body when an active substance layer containing the silver oxide as the main substance corresponding to a separator and another active substance layer having a manganese dioxide as a main substance at the outer side thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION:An anode 2 consists of a double construction of the first active substance layer 8 having Ag2O as a main substance arranged to a side correspondent to a separater 3 and the second layer 9 having MnO2 as a main substance arranged to a side correspondent to the bottom of an anode case 1 at the outer side thereof. The amount of an alkaline electrolyte in said first active substance layer 8 is controlled within a range of approximately 0.03-0.07mg per 0.1mg of Ag2O. Thereby, a battery having an excellent performance and a lower occurrence % of leakage of the electrolyte can be obtained even in a severe and a heavy load discharge such as a large current discharge under lower temperature.
