After printing is completed, the charging electrode 6, the detecting electrode 7, and the deflecting electrode 8 are lowered with a lifting arm 18 moved vertically, and they are immersed in a cleaning tank 14 to clean ink adhered to the electrodes. After cleaning, the electrodes are lifted for drying.
