Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to decide accurate front end limiter values even when a synchronous power source voltage is fluctuating by a method wherein the magnitudes of a voltage obtained by multiplying the maximum value of the synchronous power source voltage by a coefficient corresponding to the front end limiter and of the synchronous power source voltage are compared. CONSTITUTION:The synchronous power source voltage VSYNC is stepped down by a transformer 21 and the whole wave thereof is rectified in a rectifier circuit 22, and is inputted to the maximum value detector circuit 23 to be converted into a DC voltage EDM corresponding to the maximum value. A voltage K.EDM obtained by multiplying the voltage EDM by the coefficient and the voltage VSYNC are compared in a comparator 24. During the output voltage of the comparator 24 is negative, the operation of a phase shifter circuit 25 is made to stop, and the phase shifter circuit 25 is made to operate only during the output voltage becomes to positive. Whereupon the wave from of output of the comparator 24 makes the form as shown with a solid line in the figure when the power source voltage keeps the rated value, and becomes as shown with a dotted line when the power source voltage comes down to 50%. Accordingly the fixed front limiter values alphamin, alphamax can be obtained constantly even the power source voltage is fluctuating.
